Welcome

The staff, governors and children of Clunbury Church of England Primary School offer you and your family a very warm welcome.

The choice of a primary school for your child is an important decision and we hope that this website will help you to understand the ethos and vision of our school.

Set in the beautiful south Shropshire countryside, Clunbury CE Primary School has offered education to children from the 1860’s in the peaceful and picturesque setting of the Clun Valley. The school’s grounds and neighbouring areas in the village provide opportunities for sport and a wide range of environmental activities linked to Forest Schools.

In our school we respect and value each person irrespective of their religion, gender, or their ethnic or national origin. Our ethos is based on the rights and responsibilities of everyone in our school community.

Our SIAMS inspection in 2022 found our school to be a 'Good' church school. The report commented:

“The vision in action is at the heart of Clunbury. ‘Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their lives’ is understood by all. Stakeholders are committed to ensuring the vision is at the heart of their flourishing community, equipping everyone with the tools they need to live a fulfilling future.”

We're proud of the high standards the children achieve as well as our Healthy Schools and Eco Schools status.

We hope you enjoy reading our website and get a flavour of our school from it. However, we do encourage you to visit the school as part of your decision-making process. Please contact the school administrator by email or phone (01588 660207) to make an appointment with Miss Anna Cook, the executive head teacher, to view the school.

One of our other schools in our close-knit Federation, Newcastle C of E Primary School, also offers Flexi- Learning (Flexi-Schooling). If this is something of interest, please do visit the website
