We began the half term with a truly electrifying adventure as our Key Stage 2 children visited the incredible Science labs at Concord College. The day was packed with hands-on experiments and awe-inspiring discoveries. We were lucky enough to see their enormous grizzly bear skeleton, marvel at a stunning DNA sculpture, and be mesmerized by the hypnotic pendulum wave.
The children explored static electricity, built their own electroscopes, and even had a go with the Van de Graaff generator—there were plenty of surprised (and spiky-haired!) faces. It was a day full of wonder, and it sparked a real excitement for science that has continued back in the classroom.
