We're very lucky at Newcastle Primary School as our school building sits squarely within wonderful school grounds surrounded by inspiring rolling countryside. The grounds are extensive enough to allow us to have our own Forest School area on site which the children enjoy exploring, playing in and learning new skills. We also have room for a football pitch, short running track and a multi-purpose court on our hard court playground. There is also plenty of play equipment on site, including a traversing wall, climbing frame and other free standing items.
Inside our school building we have bright vibrant classrooms with plenty of space for learning activities and lessons, including a range of IT equipment such as laptops and Ipads. We have quiet reading areas, and in Key Stage 1 there are areas for adventure and creation. We have a large covered area outside for our EYFS children which allows us to go out, stretch our legs and ride trikes even when it's raining. Each classroom has its own toilet facilities adjacent to the classrooms allowing the children to be comfortable at all times.
Our central hall provides space for gym, assemblies and performances as well as being our dining hall at lunch time.
