Welcome to Class Three! We are an enthusiastic and hardworking mixed class of year five and six children taught by Mrs Hood and supported by Miss Hughes. Our classroom is spacious and well-equipped to include an excellent library of books to inspire a love of reading as well as a range of modern resources including laptops and IPADs. Benefitting from a wide range of specialist teachers, we enjoy Music with Mr Bennett and PE with Mr Jones. Every opportunity to participate in local events is embraced and each topic brings with it exciting trips or visitors to the school!
Independence, perseverance and resilience are all skills that are developed and encouraged. We are set regular exciting challenges to support us to achieve our goals which have to date included organising and participating in formal lunches with Governors and members of staff, learning to knit and applying for a Blue Peter badge. We also enjoy fundraising for the school and other charities as well as working towards our Bronze, Silver and Gold Blue Hills Federation Awards. We love practising our spoken and written french with our penpals at Primary School in Le Gâvre near Nantes. High expectations and a focus on learning are priorities for us in class three but with a big emphasis on having fun along the way!
