What a brilliant time we had when Jack from the Exotic Zoo in Telford came into class on Tuesday to show us some minibeasts. He brought with him two giant African millipedes, a Madagascan Hissing cockroach, two giant African land snails, two Black Beauty stick insects from Peru and a whip scorpion, which wasn't actually a scorpion at all. Everyone, adults and children, got a chance to look closely, to touch or to hold these extraordinary creatures. We talked about the different numbers of legs they have, what they eat and we learned some fascinating facts!
