What a wonderful start we had to our week as Catherine Cooper, our School Author Partner, joined us on Zoom to present the prize winners from last term with the final copy of her new book, Shadowlore. She has also kindly donated copies to both classes and the school library.
Last year, Class 2 and 3 entered a competition to have their ideas included in her next book, Shadowlore. Catherine cleverly weaved the children's ideas into her characters and their accessories throughout the book and gives credit to the winners and our school at the back of her book. We have all accompanied Catherine on the fascinating journey of creating this book from the initial unedited draft to now when the final version is being sent to the publishers!
We are so privileged to have the support of such an amazing award-winning author at St Mary's. Our next meeting with Catherine is already pencilled in for next term. In the meantime, we have lots of new books to enjoy!
